Tasting Notes:

A dry Pinot Noir Rosé with notes of fresh ripe nectarine, pear, apple and quince. Hints of citrus and a touch of spice compliment a balanced acidity.

Wine making:

Our winemakers use minimal intervention in the wine-making process to allow the fruit and terroir to fully express itself. We use natural wild yeasts to ferment our wine, with minimal sulphites at bottling.
This wine had a stainless steel fermentation and was pressed quickly. We used beautiful ripe handpicked Pinot Noir grapes from our Waipara Vineyard blended with 15% Riesling for acidity.

The Waipara Vineyard sits within the Omihi Basin on Awapuni clay loam, below rolling limestone hills to the east.This part of the North Canterbury wine growing region enjoys a micro climate that is consistently several degrees warmer than the Port Hills. Creating a terroir that delivers concentrated and expressive wines.
