A premium Barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc from the Waipara Valley. Fermented in 11 year old 500L oak barrels for 10 months to give a textural element to the wine. Flavours of ripe stone fruit and citrus with a well balanced acidity.
We carefully grow and handpick our organic Sauvignon Blanc grapes on our sunny vineyard in Waipara, North Canterbury. Our winemakers use minimal intervention in the wine-making process to allow the fruit and terroir to fully express itself. We use natural wild yeasts to ferment our wine, with minimal sulphites at bottling. This wine is vegan.
The Waipara Vineyard sits within the Omihi Basin on Awapuni clay loam, below rolling limestone hills to the east.This part of the North Canterbury wine growing region enjoys a micro climate that is consistently several degrees warmer than the Port Hills. Creating a terroir that delivers concentrated and expressive wines.
